Insurance
Deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance, out-of-network…health insurance can be so confusing!
Although I am not an insurance specialist, I am here to help make the process more transparent so you can access mental health care when you need it.
Please see the FAQ list for questions I am often asked. If you don’t see your answer here, feel free to send me an email.
-
I am in-network with most BlueCross BlueShield PPO insurance plans.
-
Yes, I bill BCBS PPO plans directly.
-
For those outside of the BCBS PPO network, please see the next question.
If you have a BCBS PPO plan, and if requested, I will look up your coverage and anticipated costs when billing your plan. With most plans, your costs will be your typical co-payment (post-deductible if applicable).
The information available to me as a provider is limited and only an estimate of your expenses. For the most accurate information, please call your BCBS customer service number found on the back of your member card.

I do see clients out-of-network. You will pay for sessions upfront at the rates listed above. After sessions, I will send you a receipt called a Superbill. This receipt provides all the information needed for your insurance plan to reimburse you.
I require clients to look into their own out-of-network benefits and reimbursement process. I can not access information for out-of-network plans, and I would not want you to experience any surprises when you submit to your plan for reimbursement.

For those who do not have a health insurance plan, I do offer sliding scale. My general sliding scale is dependent on income. Below is a general scale of prices for individual or couples therapy:
*Weekly sessions 30 minutes:
$50-$65Weekly sessions 45 minutes
$80-$100Weekly sessions 60 minutes
$100-$120Bi-weekly sessions 45 minutes
$100Bi-weekly sessions 60 minutes
$120*I do not offer bi-weekly 30-minute sessions.
Please message me for additional questions on sliding-scale costs.

Good Faith Estimate
If you do not have health care, or you plan to pay for health expenses yourself, the good faith estimate shows the list of expected charges for items or services from your provider or facility. Because the good faith estimate is based on information known at the time your provider or facility creates the estimate, it won’t include any unknown or unexpected costs that may be added during your treatment.
